Undercover at the Debutante Ball

A story about a civil rights protest at a St. Louis debutante ball in 1972. Chock full of action and storytelling, the events of one night are told from three different perspectives, and include a strange cultish ceremony and some otherworldly characters.

The Pirates of the Metric System

The surprising true story behind America's brush with the metric system. A twisting narrative about Joseph Dombey and his ill-fated (some say cursed) journey to bring the metric system to America back in 1794.

The Secret Abortion Conference

The story of reprodutive rights activist Mary Calderone, and how she staged a secret conference on abortion In 1955. A decade before Roe v. Wade, Calderone risked career suicide and  scrutiny from law enforcement to bring to light the conditions of illegal abortion in the 1950s.
